Greetings in Christ! May God’s grace, mercy, and peace abound for you!
On the weekend of July 4th and 5th, we are gathering once again for our regularly scheduled worship services at 7:00 pm Saturday evening and 9:00 am Sunday morning. For many of you that's a reason to celebrate. For others, you may not yet feel comfortable with smaller gatherings, much less larger ones. To accommodate those uncomfortable with larger gatherings, we will still offer an abbreviated worship service with Holy Communion at 6:30 pm Saturday evening that will be limited to around 15 people. You will need to sign up for that service and we will add more smaller services if necessary. Saturday at 7:00 pm and Sunday at 9:00 am will not require sign up. By the time July 4th comes, it will have been 16 weeks since our last large gathering. That's a long time. And for some, it will be longer still. We will be taking additional precautions for our larger gatherings starting the weekend of July 4th and 5th. They include the following:
We will still provide sermons and Bible studies online. If you would like to talk sometime, please call the church (343.2011)! I would love that! Please don’t wait for me to call you if you need something. It is so very helpful for you to reach out if and when you need to talk or if you need prayer. And if any of you would like the newest edition of Portals of Prayer, please call us and we will happily mail it to you!
For those of you who have not received the Lord's Supper in several months, I'd love you to have it and it would be good for you. Please call and set up a private appointment anytime.
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope” (Romans 15:13).
